First: where is it?

The same problem goes to a different office depending on whose road or property it’s on.

Not sure? Search your address on the county’s PAMS road map, or read our guide Who Maintains My Road?

Where is the problem? Road has a route number: the state, MDOT SHA. Inside a town or city: start with your town; it depends on the service. Private, HOA- or apartment-owned road: the owner, HOA or management. Anywhere else: usually the county, PGC311. Not sure? Many HOA streets are county roads. Search your address on the county’s PAMS road map, or ask PGC311.
Where the problem is usually decides who handles it.
